Well I don't know if it has finally started to happen! But my poor 8600m gt card seems to be playing up. Or at least I think it is the GPU.
Every now and again, if I click on an external hard drive for example my screen goes black, I still have control over the brightness just no image. The only way I can get my screen to re-appear properly is to turn the screen off using ctrl+shift+eject and then bring it back on. Then say I will load up a movie and the same thing will happen.
Any ideas? Techdeluxe checks out just fine?
