Spain
Anyone that reads Spanish (and probably people that do not too) go to http://www.apple.es/imac and read loudly the footnote below the G4 chip picture. And you'll see how Apple is intending to revolution the Apple hardware panorama (by a gentle misstranslation by the Apple Spanish web team). You'll have a laugh.

ouch, they removed it.

To put it down in history, it translated as:
"Get the fastes iMac in history, with a Pentium PowerPC processor at 800 MHz and Velocity Engine."

Intel Powermac in the future?

Some analysts have also urged Apple to move to microchips from Intel Corp. (NasdaqNM:INTC - News) from those made by Motorola Inc. (NYSE:MOT - News) and International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM - News) to cut costs.

Asked about that possibility, Jobs said that first the company had to finish the transition to the OS X operating system, expected around the end of this year.

"Then we'll have options, and we like to have options," he said.

this is a quote from an article on yahoo... here's the link
http://biz.yahoo.com/ri/020717/tech_apple_1.html

will we see Intel Powermacs?

Id rather see AMD powermacs, but I really don't care that much. I trust apple that any chip the use is going to be running well before it ships, so whatever they use would be fine.

I get the feeling that Moto has let apple dangle of late, figuring them for a gonner, so I saw the hell with Motorola.

I think their phones are crappy too, I wonder if the Sony/Erricson partnersip for phone sync pisses off Moto:D

athlon core

my vote is for athlon core, strip the x86 emulation layer

tho, it very likely will make sense to keep it so can keep the x86 compiled code.

Actually, Wash!!, when I first clicked on that link, it DID it say "Pentium PowerPC". They have since changed it. Should've taken a screenshot. Oh, well.

Piss off moto? Moto should piss off themselves. Do they even have a phone with bluetooth capability? I don't think many do outside of Ericson.

Excuse me if this answer sounds as agressive as yours, but I think I am entitled. Obviously either it is you who do not know how to read, or you do not read the whole thread before answering (getting to the 2nd post should have been enough".

"Pentium Power PC" WAS there, about 7 people at work saw it and started laughing at that loud, and that is how I found it. Several people showed it to me.

Mr Jobs, did you just see the title of the thread and click "Reply"? This thread has nothing to do with anyone suggesting they should use Intel processors. What it is about is Apple's Spanish translation accidentally claimed it was a "Pentium PowerPC", and that they have since fixed it. Sheesh.

Two options for PCUser . . .

PMS or PMDD?

I only hope you aren't of the XY chromosome pattern . . . then you'd simply be a jerkoff. Oh, well.

Why don't you use italics more, to help flesh-out your paltry sarcasm? About that . . .

"Sarcasm is the recourse of a weak and unresourceful mind."
