People can't call me, the call will not even ring through. Sometimes I can't get calls to ring through to other people. At times I have been able to call through if I turn off wifi calling but this doesn't help people contacting me. I've called Verizon and Apple and I think it is fixed only for the situation to repeat. My only thought is could the fact I have bluetooth hearing aids be causing this? No one on our plan and we have 5 iphone 14s, is having this issue. I am so frustrated.

If calls are not getting through (i.e. incoming calls do not appear in the Recents list in Phone app) then most likely not bluetooth hearing aids. You can always disconnect bluetooth devices to make sure. When WiFi Calling off, do you have strong signal? Is it all calls or just calls from specific people? If from specific people, perhaps you have inadvertently blocked them.

What you described sounds like a SIM / carrier problem. However, for troubleshooting steps, I would try resetting the settings for the phone and if that doesn’t work, consider setting up as new and ask contacts to call you to test. If you still have the problem, tell Verizon you want a new SIM.

Since updating to 18.4.1, I had the same problem happening multiple times a day and anything I tried lasted at most a few hours. Resetting network settings and restoring and setting up as new did not work. What finally worked for me (it's been a few days and no further issues) was turning off Wifi Calling. Hope that helps.

In my town Verizon has terrible signals. The only time I have a decent signal is with wifi calling turned on. With wifi calling on I get two bars, with wifi calling off it drops to one bar. If I didn't already have 6 people on my plan I would seriously consider moving to another carrier. I've been with Verizon since 2002,

Yeah, this is a carrier issue.

If it doesn't even ring through, it means the tower is having trouble reaching your device or vice versa.

Just curious because this has been happening off and on to my mother's iPhone 15 Pro Max, also on Verizon(We live in a suburb of Phoenix and have zero reception issues. Most times have 3+ bars of 5G UWB). When you say "people can't call you" does that mean that when they do try to call you it goes straight to your voicemail? Thats whats been happening to my mothers phone...some calls(all at random times, random people) will just go straight to her VM. It won't ring on her end whatsoever. Then she'll find out at a later time that the person was trying to voice call her and she obviously ended up missing the call. She also has wifi calling enabled. Again this is with a iPhone 15 ProMax with Verizon....

I saw someone above mention "switching out the sim" but since these are all eSim's now(at least in the United States) how would you go about doing that? Just call up Verizon and have them refresh it or something like that?

My husband, son and son-in-law have tried to call me and it does nothing. Doesn't even go to voicemail. They have been very frustrated. My husband and son both are on the same plan with me, but my son-in-law isn't.

I have $199 till my phone is paid off, I have wondered if I should try to upgrade.

In frustration I called Verizon again today. The tech who I talked to was extremely helpful. He ran a diagnostic test and told me the problem is my phone. So He arranged it for me to upgrade to the iPhone 16 (pink) with no change to my plan. I of course have to return my phone but who wants a broken phone anyway. I am glad someone finally listened to me.
