I feel, perhaps on a limited screen like the 13 inch rMBP, that using split view with 2 apps on one screen limits each app and am wondering what would be the best use cases in having 2 apps sharing a screen. IT just seems so limiting.

I normally have half a dozen apps open on the main MacOS screen, but not in full screen view and use expose and swipe up not he trackpad so I can then choose one of the other 5 apps I may need.

Like, for reals, what apps make the use of having Split View worthwhile? Using Mail and Safari this way would drive me bonkers.

Sometimes, rarely, I'll use BetterSnapTool on my main screen and its cool and all, but not the end all be all.

This my only use for split screen. I maintain my own and my wife’s bank accounts, checking debits and credits every day; this I do in Safari, usually on my iMac but sometimes on my MBP. Because I have learned over many decades to be organised about money I have an Excel file that tracks all our accounts, ie current (US = checking I believe), deposit, and ISA (a common and currently very unrewarding UK form of investment.) So, I have the Safari window at left and the Excel window at right, thus I can correlate one with the other and instantly spot any movements not planned for. We’re only talking about a few minutes each morning, apart from that I never use split screen.
