I'm actually torn on the subject. i REALLY want the new hardware, but i want to keep 3.1.2 and my JB....

i specifically got a 32gb 3gs JUST for the resale value {sold my 60gb ipod video to make up the extra $100 to buy it back in January}. But thinking about it now, i don't want to loose my jailbreak LoL

Hacking and cracking are distinctly different things.

Well, the first or second beta was jailbroken almost immediately. Don't you think that 4.0 will be jailbroken pretty quickly?

I will wait! Smarter jb's are never the 1st to update! Just better to wait for dev-team to tell us it's ok to update. Besides 4.0 offers nothing we don't already have. And misses much more so really there is no rush.

I'm going to upgrade just because I scratched the ish out of my 3gs. I'm running 3.1.3 JB and it's fing awesome. Wish I didn't scratch my screen...

My 3G is way too slow at this point, especially with the JB. I want the 4.0 for the processing speed. I love my JB but nothing vital that i cant live without that the 4.0 wont have (multitasking).

Well for someone who ran the 4.0 on my 3G if you upgrade once the jailbreak is official for the official 4.0 you can SSH and enable said features. They worked and worked well at least for me.

I have a 3GS as I do NOT want the iPhone HD or whatever it is going to be called. I don't like the look of it at all. Personal preference really.

It's the same exploit for the 3G model they were using for years. Nothing new was revealed to Apple with the beta jb.

4.0 will not add any processing power to your 3G model. If anything it will make it slower than on stock 3.1.3

To tell you the truth, I'll probably just stay on 3.1.3. WHY because my 3G is already jailbroken AND I'm getting the 4th Gen. so I wont really care about my 3G. Not until they release an unlock for it anyways
