A useless piece of junk right now, because it boots and crashes in 2 minutes. Its OS got messed up, to many things changed and such. Now, I wanna get it running on 9.2, but it says its incompatible. Heres the stats:

1997 computer

32 MB ram
2 GB HD (would clear)
280 (I think) GHz processor, g3 (may be dual processor ??? )

You need to get some more memory in that bad boy. It's pretty well useless with just 32MB.

Its a little hard to open up and get to the MOBO, since its so old and never really been open up, takes a lot of force. :(

I'd stick with OS 8.6 on this machine. Best performance with compatibility. Don't bother with 9 unless you need to run OS 9 specific applications.

There is even a website dedicated to this old girl. Click here for more info.

Just saw a 6400/180 at the thrift store for $2.02. Had a network card and modem.:)

Ive got too many Macs now...looking for something really groovey. I did try to open it up but the mobo tray was stuck and the 'put out' lady came by and gave me an ugly look. Had to close it back up. :(

I know the feeling of too many Macs, but whats not groovy about a built in subwoofer???? :)
