Running an 4,1 right now with some old 2.26ghz CPU. Right now I want to favor more clock speed, but I have a k5000 on my 4,1 at the moment. I would like to use it as much as possible since I have no idea what to do with this expensive thing if I even buy the cylinder.

Anyway, will the low end Cylinder mac be a "HUGE" performance boost for single threaded applications versus maybe like the 3.33ghz west mere ?

I just pick a random Geek bench result to compare.

E5-1620v2 about 13% better then W3680 in single core performance.
