performance comparison to 2007 24' iMac

Hi, I am new here so would appreciate any help.
I have a 2007 24 iMac (2.4C2D, 1gb RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB of GDDR3 memory) and I was just wandering how the last gen 13' air compared to this (or 2012 model if anyone has one).
Would I see any performance increases for apps like photoshop or lightroom...or would it be a step back in performance?

I'm pretty sure you will be blown away by the performance improvement. A first thing you can do is download geek bench from www.primatelabs.com and test the performance of your computer and compare that to the MBA results of around 7000 depending on model (see this forum for exact numbers).

It is not an all encompassing test but it for sure will show you the difference.
