So I have an 8-core early '08 unit with an upgraded SATA HD+ATi card, and 6gb of RAM (2+2 and 1+1). Recently i started to run a second monitor off the graphics card so that i can watch TV on it (EyeTV). My Apple cinema runs off the MiniDisplay Port, while the Dell runs off the other input on the card.
After a few days i noticed that while I am doing other array of things (SPSS, word docs, editing video, itunes-SomaFM on constantly, browsing the web) the system feels somewhat sluggish.
Do you guys think it's because of EyeTV?
If so, would upgrading to 12GB of ram help with the issue?
