Performance gains from multiple 2600 XTs?

Sorry if this has been answered before - all my search queries here turned up nothing.

Are there any performance benefits for pro apps (FCS 2) when using multiple ATI 2600XT cards? Even Apple's site doesn't seem to discuss this. Or should I just wait for the Radeon 3870 HD?

No they don't run in crossfire, there merely for multiple displays. Wait for the 3870.

although applications are starting to gain performance out of multiple gpus like some stuff in games so it wont be too far before multiple cards will help with performance. Also photshop now uses the gpu for a few task
