Hi all,

I'm new here! Excellent site and very informative forums :)

I switched from the black macbook to the macbook air 1.8GHz a couple of weeks ago and I'm having performance issues when trying to play HD TV shows at 720p in VLC (0.9.4). Everything's fine for the first 7 mins or so and then the pictures freezes or jumps and I have to reboot my macbook and then resume from then on. It doesn't tell me I have to reboot but it's the only way I can figure out to carry on watching it! I never had these problems on my old macbook but I assume that's because performance-wise, it was better?!

Have I not done my research properly? Should I take it back or sell it? And if so, which macbook would you recommend?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance!!! :)

Daniel
