I've had a M1 MBP (16/1tb) since launch day and unfortunately, I've been in and out of the hospital with a big surgery and then a complication ever since. At my office, I have the 24 inch 4k LG ultra fine (the one Apple sells) which was connected to my previous 2019 16 inch (which went to another employee due and upgrade in September and I was using an old 2015 15 inch in the meantime). I've been recuperating in bed mostly but finally today, my wife and I went to my office to grab the 4k to bring it home. I've so been looking forward to this.
Performance is excellent. In Geekbench and Cinebench, there is not a hint of a slowdown when connected (laptop screen is open). No insane fans, etc. I must admit it's taken me a while to get used to the screen size but, at least for now when I'm not supposed to be lifting anything, the smaller laptop works great. Now with the options of the LG, best of both worlds.
