I've always had a lingering doubt staying with a jailbroken iPhone on a 7.1 beta was not wise.

I just today, reading over on reddit this quote:

"It's becoming clear that developers are not going to support 7.1 betas - see IconSupport, JellyLock, AppBox and several other tweaks which don't work as well (or at all) on 7.1.
I definitely like beta 3's stability, speed and graphical changes, but at the end of the day I think 7.0.4 will the be the last useful firmware to have from a Jailbreak development perspective.
Since vital parts of evasi0n's exploit were now closed I think 7.0.4 won't be signed for long. I just downgraded and am happy to have been able to do so.

I too think it is a strong possibility the jailbreaking community of developers will leave betas behind as new apps/tweaks are made.

I'd like to read your opinion.

All of the tweaks I like are supported on Beta 3, I even found out how to get iconoclasm to work on it

So I'm pretty happy :)

I just hope when intelliscreenX 7 comes out it is supported ;)

If compatibility with every tweak is what one is after, I'd agree. I'm on 7.1 b2 solely for the improvement in safari stability. It's incredible how much of a difference it is. 95% of the tweaks I've even wanted to try have been compatible so I'm not too worried. Jailbroken on the 2nd beta is the happiest I've been with my 5S

I value safaris performance on the iPad air higher than the known tweak incompatibilities + lack of lightning to hdmi adapter support. Though it does suck we have to make the choice.

I would be disappointed if quasar was updated and didn't work on the betas. Id say I'm satisfied with the current state of my iPad though, even if there are further incompatibilities.

The worst thing to imagine though is that what if you install a tweak that hasn't been tested on the betas and it crashes your phone and forces you to restore to a future, non-jailbreakable version.

Just the other week I installed applocker and it must have conflicted with some other tweak and my phone kept flashing on and off

Hopefully it doesn't happen again

By priority : stability then tweakability. My rmini has been very stable in 7.1 b3. Tweaks are just a plus

Agreed, 7.1b3 very stable on rmini, however, found to be unstable on the 5S due to incompatibility and boot loops.

So how about sharing ?

I'd be more than happy too

First, install iCleaner Pro from the repo exile90software.com/cydia/

Install iconoclasm

Let your device respring. It will be in safe mode

Go into iCleaner Pro and click on the Plus Sign on the bottom left of the screen

From there, tap on "mobilesubstrate addons"

All of the toggles will be shown as on. Go down to "iconsupport" and toggle it off. It will prompt a respring

It should work from there :)

Didn't the creator of Cydia state that is a dangerous move?
I believe he posted something over on Reddit stating such.

it is, because iconsupport is kind of like a fallback in case something happens

kind of like how safe mode "protects" us when there's a bad tweak installation

I'm not sure whether anyone said it is dangerous or not, sorry

I just remember being linked to a reddit post showing how to get Iconoclasm to work
