perian 1.2.1 update issues:

EVERY time i try to update my version of perian to the most recent 1.2.1 it locks up my preference pain and i have to do a force quit...

Try downloading it directly from Perian and installing it that way.

I'd recommend the following:

Download Perian 1.2.1 from their website.

Uninstall your current Perian with the Uninstall button located inside the Pref Pane.

Install the Perian 1.2.1 you downloaded.

Already tried this as well to no avail!1 it will not remove from my preferance pain it just shows the rainbow circle rotating, and i check force quit and it shows not responding! every time!

Have you tried simply installing 1.2.1 over top of it?

That might work but I recall others having a problem updating Perian this last time...including myself. Just can't remember exactly how I got it to update.
