Hello all, so today I had a very odd situation. I noticed that coverflow in Finder was not showing any previews for any multimedia files. Upon trying to QuickLook them, Finder would need to be relaunched. Then shortly after, iTunes crashed and would not re-open. Then I noticed that Photobooth and Quicktime wouldn't even open. I was now panicking because I had just bought songs in iTunes and didn't get them backed up. I switched users, and my mom's account worked fine. So I went and cleared out the plist files for quicktime/iTunes. That also failed. I then went into System Preferences and moved down to the Perian tab, and clicked uninstall. BOOM, everything worked fine again!

What is odd, is that I've had Perian installed for at least 6 months and never had a problem. I went back to the Perian preferences and selected install, then all my problems came back. So for now, I have it disabled...does anyone have an idea on what I can do to get Perian working again?

Thanks,
Sean
