Perian only works in Quicktime..

Hello Mac users,

I'm new to using macs full time and recently transferred over all my itunes stuff from a windows to my imac, my friend whos a pretty smart mac user downloaded flip4mac and perian for me so that when i get videos itll open up in itunes, but .avi and .mvk files only seem to work in quicktime and wont open in itunes. any ideas

iTunes cannot use QuickTime plug ins like Flip4Mac or Perian.

You will need to convert them to mp4.

Handbrake is a great application to do that and it is free.
