Permanent mark on LCD screen?

Hey guys,

I had my macbook in a tightly packed bag and now I have grayish, shadowy imprints on the LCD screen from something that I guess was squishing against it for a few hours. The imprints obviously only show up when the screen is turned on.

Is this permanent? Can I eliminate these somehow?
