I have a new Macbook pro. I occasionally do permission repairs and noticed that each time I do it the SAME repairs (usually 6 in all) have to be done. So, as an experiment, I tried repeating permission repair one minute after it was completed.
Report: SAME "problems" repaired.
It appears that permission repair is failing to actually perform the repair.
Except for that, the computer is working ok. I verified the hard drive and no problems were reported.
