Permissions don’t repair

Hey,

So I’m not sure how long this has been happening for me. For awhile though. Every time I repair permissions, I get a huge list of Java things that need repairing, and it says it repairs them, no issues. All good, right? Only the thing is, if I verify or repair again immediately after that, apparently none of them were actually repaired.

Any idea what gives?

2010 13” MBP running OS X 10.6.7, by the way (although this was happening long before 10.6.7 was released, I don’t remember which version I was on when I first noticed it).

Thanks for that. It still seems weird that it reports that it has fixed them when it hasn’t, but extra reassurance that it’s safe to ignore is good to have
