Hey guys i just verified my disk permissions and got these errors which can't be fixed. I'm just wondering if this is normal or not.

Thanks.

As far as I know, people have gotten these messages before, and they're completely harmless - they're not problems that need fixing, just informational messages Disk Utility gives you. In this particular case, Disk Utility is simply telling you that it won't even attempt to fix permissions on those 4 files since they have the SUID (switch user ID) bit set - changing permissions on such a file can have unintended consequences.

Did you check Apple's support site? They have an ever expanding list of Permissions Repair failures that can be safely ignored.

Mine just arrived today from repair where the DVD burner was replaced - and now I get that message. I take it to be a consequence of the item being replaced..
