I've been having some issues with my year and a half old MBP lately. The biggest one being that after it's turned on or restarted and then appears to have fully booted, it won't allow anything to be done (programs won't open, they just hop in the dock forever or claim to be open without showing any windows) and things freeze or just don't work (lots of spinning rainbow ball).
I called Applecare today and they had me do the holding down p,r,option, command on boot and also holding down power button for ten seconds with the battery out. On my own I verified the disk while booted from the install CD and there were no problems. I just ran repair permissions and got some stuff that couldn't be repaired. Should I be concerned about these items that won't repair, or are they harmless?
