I have seen many apps talk about changing permissions. how exactly does one do this? mobile finder won't let me edit it. also, what are permissions in the first place?

when you upload files to your ipod via ssh or usb you need to set permissions to the file to 0775 what this means that is you are allowing the ipod OS read write access to the app.If you do not set the correct permissions the the app will not work.Use iPhone tunnel to ssh without wifi you can search the forum for a link to the application.Hope i helped you.
