Hi all; newbie here. Have read through all posts related to Zoom and not found same issue.

Quick background; I inherited a late 2008 Macbook Pro a few years back (primarily a Windows PC/laptop user). I have had iPad/iPhones for years. Macbook Pro lightly used. Running El Capitan. Will not upgrade further. Am not very familiar with Mac sw differences from Windows. (OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 MacBook Pro (15 inch Late 2008) 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Do, 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB)

I use Zoom for group meetings for a charity. Decided to try on the Macbook Pro; first few times, worked an absolute treat; good video and audio, stayed cool, no loud fan, etc. Quite chuffed! However, last 2 times, a few minutes in the camera dot starts flashing quickly and then the camera feed crashes, entire screen turns black. Zoom meeting carries on, but can't hear anyone either. I restart Zoom, go back into meeting, works ok but happens again. last week, it came back but camera stayed black.

Going to try again tonight but don't know how to tell if it's a hardware/software/driver etc problem. I understand this Macbook Pro is probably past it's sell-by date for most things but was hoping to eke out Zoom meetings on it as can't afford to buy a new one.

Any suggestions are very welcome; if any instructions or screenshots required, could you be quite specific as i'm not that familiar with how to do stuff on this machine? Thanks very much in advance!
