The new persistent WiFi feature has been great for my iPhone. My office is in a marginal reception area, so it means that push email no longer kills my battery while the phone struggles for a signal all day.
However, I've noticed that starting today the WiFi is no longer staying connected when the phone is locked, it has reverted back to the old behaviour of disconnecting and re-connecting a second or so after unlocking.
I've noticed that if I switch off Cellular Network Data the WiFi becomes persistent again. I've reset my carrier settings and restarted the phone with no success.
Does anyone have any ideas?
