Hi,
*iPhone Newbie warning*
I've had my iPhone 4 (ios 4.2.1) now for a couple of months, no problems at all until the last week, I'm losing battery power rapidly. I take my phone off charge and would lose upto 20% overnight.
After reading around I've realised that having notifications on enables persistant wifi, I decided to turn notifications off as I would rather have more battery life. I noticed straight away that when I come out of sleep mode that the wifi icon would take a few seconds to come on and my battery life improved greatly. Now all of a sudden it's stopped doing this and persistent wifi is back on again.
All notifications are off
Gmail fetch/push is off, mail is refreshed manually
Location services are off
Double tap the home button and no apps are running
I've tried a reset and this didn't help either. Am I missing another setting somewhere that could be keeping the wifi on?
I've switched wifi off but it's a pain having to go into settings each time to turn wifi on and off.
The apps I have on the phone are:
Facebook
Twitter
Sky Sports Football
Football League
Tapatalk
Battery Doctor Pro
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
*added info: sorry should of said I also have 3G and mobile data turned off
