Very North
Browsing almost continuously for years now I have developed the urge for a 'HomePage' of my own. Not provided by ISP or others.

Maybe very, very stupid question but. How do I do it?

My selection of background,RSS feeds, article sources etc, etc.

Just tired of having to modify whats out there to nearly approach my rather stayed tastes ;-)

Be kind & thank you

Sharkey

Wordpress is great, the blog in my signature is Wordpress running on a Synology NAS in my home. I've run websites created with SandVox on it but Wordpress is so much easier to blog with.

A NAS (LAMP) can host a website, some support dynamic DNS too.

A LAMP can host a website? We must have different understandings of the capabilities of a lamp...

(what does it stand for?)

Wordpress?

You can go the easy route and sign up for a Wordpress, Blogger, or Google homepage, or use RapidWeaver or another webpage design program to make your own. The latter option requires buying a domain name and hosting space.

I have a 'wordpress' account with my own name, I think.
Not bright on this stuff.
Will have a look at what is there now and see if I can make it work (like I say not bright)

There is so much 'stuff' I find it very confusing :)

Thank you all so far. I will get back to this question after a look at 'wordpress'.
