Hello All,

Recently purchased a new iPhone 8 (Verizon) operating under iOS 11.0.1. An important feature for me is the personal hotspot. I am attempting to connect my late 2016 MBP15 operating under Mac OS 10.13. As usual, this process is not very robust with the iPhone and intermittent ability to make a hot spot connection. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get this to work more consistently other than rebooting MBP/iPhone, toggling WiFi and toggling Bluetooth.

I hate to rant. But this has been an issue since Apple has offered this feature going back to at least an iPhone 5S. As an aside, I also have a burner Samsung mobile telephone that's using Verizon service.
This phone also has the ability to provide a hotspot connection. Never fails to let me down. Snaps right on. Almost an instant connection. If the Sammy hotspot always works, seems to me Apple can make this just as robust.
