Personal hotspot issue

Sometimes my iPhone hot spot says two connections are going when only one should be. Is there ever a way to see which devices are connected? Right now, it says two connected but we are at soccer practice and only my little ones iPad can possibly be connected. The hotspot does have a password on it.
