I've recently been using the personal hotspot on my iPhone 4, 16GB, iOS 4.3.3, jailbroken. I've got one of those Three UK truly unlimited data plans and am currently miles from my nearest exchange so am using the 3G connection of my phone for all my broadband access.
It's working well but I'm having a few issues with the phone itself, particularly when the hotspot is untethered for any extended period of time. If, for example, I leave the hotspot on overnight, but put my laptop to sleep, I find that the phone will beep incessantly after a couple of hours. This sometimes happens even if I turn off the hotspot on the phone. Has anyone else experienced this and/or managed to resolve it.
