personal hotspot missing

i have a jailbroken 3gs on ios 5.1.1

the personal hotspot is missing.

i check online and one of the solution was to reset network settings.

did that but still it doesnt show up..

anyone have any other idea to get it working??

If you carrier supports tethering or you have a tethering package then it will show up.
If not you will have to install additional packages from cydia such as tetherme, mywi, pdanet or other tethering hacks for example.

i think my carrier supports tethering. i had personal hotspot visible when i was on 5.0.1
since i updated to 5.1.1 its vanished..
do you have any idea what caused this??

i used absinthe to jailbreak.. do you think if i re-jailbreak using pwnage tool it will solve the problem??


if it doesnt work, as you say i think i should use one of the tethering hacks from cydia...

go in the long way sometimes it dosnt always show after an update. Once it's been turned on like this it'll be remembered.

Settings> general > network
