Hey all,

Got my first iPhone last week (4S) and I was a keen user of hotspot on my old android phone so I was pleased to see that the iPhone can do the same now, but when using WiFi on my MBP to connect to my iphone the speeds seem pretty slow. I did a speed test on the phone and it came out around 1.5mbps each way which is about average on my network during the day where I live (goes up in speed a lot in the night), but on the MBP to the same server it was about 0.3mbps each way. Strange. Using the USB cable and doing it that way seems to give a fairly speedy result, only slightly less than I was getting on the phone.

Does anyone else get this problem or is it my iphone / MBP? I'll see if I can test it on my desktop machine later on.

Apart from that I'm very pleased with my first iPhone :D Beats the hell out of my old android phone.
