What can I say, I love the native iPhone apps :)
Tetris is a little too hard to play on the iPod, wish the controls were better.

If jailbreak only opened the touch to native iPhone apps, I still would've done it. Being able to add other apps is just gravy -- mighty good tasting gravy, mind you -- but gravy nonetheless.

Top5:

Installer/Summerboard
MobileSafari (Still the best App EVER)
MobileCal w/ Add Events (wish it could sync ToDos)
MobileMail
Weather (As I'm walking out the door I can turn around and get my scarf!)

Once the IM Apps are more stable, you'll see them here.

Where are the iPhone apps??

Ok...I have jailed breaked using the "slovix" (no computer) method and have the installer on my iTouch. How do I get the iPhone app's though? I cannot find them in installer. Please help! I want mail, notes, etc.

These must be installed seperately, they are not included with the pre-loaded installer apps or part of the "community services" apps pkg.

The best way to learn how to do this is to go to You-tube and search under "touchfree apps" or "iphone apps" and look for a 3 part series of videos by some guy called "ipodtouchmaster" or something like that....he will take you step by step through the process...he even includes links to the tools/programs/files you'll need to do it (these are located in the pt. 1 video description)
Just make sure you watch the videos a few times until you know what your doing...take notes if you like.

The only thing you really need is a PC and a wireless connection...everything else is included in the tutorial. It looks intimidating at first but it really is simple, just be sure to follow the directions exactly.....good luck!

They can be installed from within installer... just add the source "http://repo.us.to/" and they're there for both 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 :D

1) Installer
2) iPhysics
3) Mail
4) MobileRSS
5) Safari

Interesting how only one of them came stock on the iPod touch. I never use this thing for music! :D

Wirelessly posted (iTouch 1.1.2 (JB'd): Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/3B48b Safari/419.3)

For me, the top five apps (in order of importance)

1) Installer
2) Summerboard
3) MobileMail
4) Safari
5) iBlackjack
