Personalised Spatial Sound Question ?

Hi Guys,

I have the AirPods 4 with ANC, but I haven’t set up personalised spatial sound on it because I don’t have an iPhone yet. I use it with my Mac and 2018 iPad Pro. If I set up personalised spatial sound on someone else’s iPhone, will it still remain configured on it and can I when I come back and use it with my Mac and 2018 iPad Pro? Can I still use personalised spatial sound on my Mac and iPad Pro?

There's this: "iPhone with TrueDepth camera required to create a personal profile for Spatial Audio, which will sync across Apple devices running the latest operating system software, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS."
I think that means that you need to have the personal profile set up on an iPhone that is using the same network to sync that your other Apple devices share. That PROBABLY means that all devices will be using the same Apple account. I doubt that extends to an iPhone that ultimately does not belong to you. So, if you make the Spatial Audio profile, your friend can use it, but not you.

So what you are saying is apart from having the same Apple Account it also requires the same Wifi Network to run?

It is tied to your Apple account. Unless you set up his phone with your Apple account, setting personalized Spatial Audio on your friend’s phone will screw up his Spatial Audio and do nothing for you.

Ok what about if I use someone's else's iPhone but log into my Apple Account and then configure it ? Will it work then?
