Yeah, Apple doesn't do customer requests. People have been asking for uncrippling Bluetooth ever since the first iPhone came out. If Steve and the rest of the gang don't need it, they don't see why you should.

Online petitions are about as useless as tits on a bull or greeters at Walmart.

I don't own an iPhone so I'm not really familiar with the GPS functionality, but doesn't Google Earth have an option to show your current location and "follow" you?

"Go to your location: Google Earth follows your location until you navigate or touch the location icon again."

How is what you're proposing different?

online petitions never do anything. if you aren't happy with what the iphone can do, you should speak with your wallet by buying something else. many people doing that is the only way apple is going to care.

ou can think what you want, at this moment about 500 people have already signed the petition.
I will give you advice to do so, you can only win.
do not want to be able to install tomtom, garmin so. on your iphone?
is for the good of all, is a stupid clause.

no, i'm not opposed, is a declaration from all user in public...
I can not understand why you do not agree...

I'm not the only Italian who think so ...

Fail, fail, and more fail.

You bought the phone knowing what it does and doesn't, what is a little petition going to do?

I know that my phone have a bluetooth chip and a-gps as other phones, and i can't use it in a better way, so i will sign the petition.
If i don't sign i fail with my standards.

It maybe helped Rogers to lower their prices. They introduced a new cheaper plan for the iphone after people were pissed off by the non-sense of their first plans.

And the installed iPhone userbase is what, 13 million?

The needs of the many (consumers) have always outweighed the needs of the few (consumers) at Apple.

This law applies inversely when talking about employees of Apple, though. It has shown to be true that if Steve Jobs doesn't need it, no one does.

If successful, this petition will lead to another one asking Apple to fix the original signer's batteries because they drain a lot quicker all of a sudden.
