This is strange. Last night, I went to bed with my phone at about 3:20 of usage. I woke up, re-opened the usage stats, and it was at 8:15. How did 5 hours of "usage" roll over night? No apps were running. iTunes WiFi sync was off. During this time, my battery drained from 68% to 49%. My cellular data stats did not move. What gives? I have no idea where this usage is coming from. Incidentally, I've been keeping an eye on it all morning, and the usage is continuing to rise without me doing anything on the phone.

Ideas?

are you using Gmail app by chance? It uses push through notifications. Check all your notifications settings also and get rid of everything you don't need.

I'm on ATT. Yes, I am using gmail through Microsoft exchange. Could that account for it? There are many other apps that use push notifications, though. Wouldn't those do the same thing? Weird.

Bump for the night crowd.

Here's an experiment for someone to try if they think they mjght have a similar problem. Charge your phone to 100%. Go to bed and leave your phone alone, off the charger. When you wake up, see what your usage is and where your battery is at.

Logic tells me it should be very close to 0 usage and still fairly charged. Mine was near 5 hours of usage.
