Phantom volume?

Hello,

So I upgraded to High Sierra, and since then the volume is periodically turned all the way up or down by itself. You can actually see it increasing step by step. It doesn't allow me to turn it down again (keeps pushing it up). What I end up doing is plugging my headphones in and out, which fixes it for a while.

Any ideas?
 
No one experiencing the same issue?

Also, with High Sierra, if I turn up the volume using the slider, I'm not able to click 'outside' of the slider to collapse it. Sometimes it doesn't even collapse itself, even after a while. Is it supposed to be like that?
