Hi :)

I'm considering super ultrawide monitor Philips 498P9/00 Curved (5120 x 1440 resolution @ 70 Hz) but I can't find on the internet if my Macbook Air M1 (16 GB Ram + 1 TB drive) would be compatible with it and support max resolution with max refresh rate. I found some info about Mac Mini and Macbook Pro, but Air could be different story. Shops that are selling this monitor have no idea if it would work or not.

Any ideas? :)

Thank you,

Tomasz

Don’t know about that specific monitor, but it drives my Dell 4021QW (5120x2160) with no trouble at all, so pixel count certainly won’t be a problem
Thank you very much for your reply :) As I see you are using exactly the same Macbook Air as I do 2020 M1 MacBook Air 16GB/1TB (from your signature). So there is hope :) Could you tell me what kind of cable are you using? Perhaps USB-C => HDMI? If so - which version of HDMI?

Thunderbolt 3

Looking at the specs of your monitor, I'd probably suggest using displayport
