Phone app locking up

I have a iphone 6 plus. Ever since updating to iOS 10 I've had several issues that I can't resolve. First, if I receive a text or other notification while on a call, it won't show on the lock screen. I have to unlock the phone to see what it is. This is frustrating to have to do this. Also, if I am on a call and lock the phone with luck button, the phone freezes for at least a minute with a black screen. Can still talk, but, can't use the phone. A restore hasn't resolved any of the concerns. This appears to be bugs in ios 10. I am using a bluetooth headset by LG. Has any one else been seeing this problem?
