phone book and ical can sync with exchange server?

It depends on how your Exchange server is set up, but the basic answer is probably not. You should ask your Exchange admin if they have IMAP enabled on your Exchange account; if they do, then you can access your Exchange account with any client that speaks IMAP.
If your Exchange server doesn't have IMAP enabled, and you want to access your Exchange account on your Mac, you can use Microsoft Entourage (which is a part of Office:Mac). Remember that the Home and Student Edition of Office 2008 doesn't include Exchange support; you'll need either the Standard Edition or the Special Media Edition. Check with your employer to see if you can get it through them first.
