Phone Booster repeater

I have recently bought a iphone 3GS and moved to O2 from Vodafone in the UK.

The signal inside my Flat is not good!

I live in a Victorian stone flat, with thick walls, on the ground floor and although there is full bars outside, once inside the signal is not reliable and miss about half the calls.

I have been looking at this booster
But not sure if it will work

I live in a 3G area but I presume that the booster will not boost
3G but when I am in the flat the phone connects to my wifi for
data. So will it still connect to GSM for phone calls?

And advice please
