The iPhone SE will be my first smartphone (expected to arrive on the 31st). So I'm wondering how it will handle the following situation:
Presently I have my music on my iPod touch, and I generally listen to music through a Bose bluetooth speaker. If my flip phone rings, I just turn off the music and answer the phone.
What happens if an iPhone is playing music through a bluetooth speaker and a phone call comes in? Does the phone recognize that it's connected to a bluetooth device with no microphone and revert to its own mic and speaker?
I have a bluetooth headset that I use with my flip phone, but it's just in one ear, and not comfortable enough to wear all the time for music listening. It sits next to the flip phone and I put it on to make calls or if the phone rings. Is it possible to connect an iPhone to two bluetooth devices and have it stream music to one while using the other for phone calls?
I have a pair of wired ear buds I use with the iPod Touch for music when traveling, or sometimes when jogging or walking, but around the house I prefer the Bose bluetooth speaker because even the most comfortable ear buds are a little uncomfortable. So even though I have earbuds with a mic that could be used for music and answering the phone, I don't like to have to wear them every time I want to listen to music. But the headset is more comfortable for talking on the phone than having to hold the phone up to my ear the whole time. So I want to use the headset for phone calls, but the speaker for music. Can this be done seamlessly, or would I need to manually switch between the speaker and the headset any time a call comes in?
I assume the phone knows to pause the music when a call comes in. (?)
Thanks for any help and advice to a smartphone noob.
