my phone icon is missing. so far, most things work (ssh, bitesms, sbsettings, springtomize). i just can't find my phone (i CAN get calls, but of course, not make any).

any ideas, anyone??

That happened to me last night. I knew right away what caused it because it vanished while I was playing with the settings in Springtomize. I tried lots of things, but in the end the only way I could get my phone icon back was to either disable or uninstall Springtomize. (BTW, you can still make calls without the icon there. Just use spotlight to search for the phone app.)

i actually just MOVED it to the sbsettings dock, and it DID show up there.
when i removed it from that dock, it does NOT return to the main windows.

will try resetting the home screen...

----------

got i back (had to turn on custom settings, and "telephony", in springtomize...)

whew. now on to other 'new jailbreak' issues!

Where do you find Custom Settings in Springtomize? I don't see it.

Thanks, I found it. I was looking for something called "Custom Settings"!

Turns out Springtomize defaults to turning EVERYTHING off in the Capabilities section, which means the iPhone loses multi-tasking, phone calls, HDR, front-facing camera, SMS, the AppStore, and more! What the heck?

Wow, that is a bad default setting. They should be all enabled until the user decides further. Just my thoughts on it anyway:)

I was just about to say this! go to springtomize, capabilities and switch telephony, HDR etc. to on. this will bring back phone app and other stuff.

Just giving this thread a bump for all the dumbasses out there like myself that play with different options and don't remember what they toggled on and off. :D

Glad it's fixed now.

sometimes you can fix it by trying to drag a icon. Where the missing phone icon would be in the dock. It's weird but it fixed mine once.

That's what happens to mine. Disappears in the dock, but reappears when I try to drag the icon next to it over. Happens every time I respring/restart the phone.

I had the same problem. Tried all the solutions above and nothing worked. I updated my apps in the app store and magically the phone icon came back.

Hi i am experiencing the same thing, i uninstall springtomize 2 and i get the phone app back. i tried 2 different springtomize 2 downloads and both of them still hide the phone app. thats all i can give. hope it helps.
