Phone is glitchy I wanna restore with just contacts

How can I add just my contacts back on and nothing else. I'm afraid something in my backup is causing problems

You can sync your contacts to iCloud by turning on iCloud from Settings-->iCloud-->Slide on Contacts, or you can sync contacts with iTunes and then resync them after restoring your phone.

How do I do just my contacts in iTunes or I cloud? It won't delete the contacts on my phone if I sync will it ?

Sync your contacts to google, I think to a gmail account and then restore as new, and you'll have the option in the initial setup of a new iPhone in iTunes
