Took an old SIM card to ATT today to have my contacts imported to iPhone4. As soon as he finished the import using their machine the phone, contacts, and "mail, contacts, calendar" functions quit working. As soon as I pressed them it would begin to execute then return to the home screen, but everything else was fine and I could receive calls. I did a "restore as new phone" and all seems to be working properly now, alas without any of my contacts from the old SIM card.

I tried syncing (before the restore) in the hopes they were on the phone and it was just a bug, but they apparently never transferred from the import as they never appeared in iTunes or when I restored. Thus my questions are:

1) Will Apple exchange the phone if it is working properly now b/c I don't want a lemon. 2) Anyone else experiencing similar problems - if so remedies? 3) Has anyone successfully gone to an ATT store and had contacts imported from an old SIM card to new iPhone or is that nothing more than wishful thinking on my part?

Thanks!!
