Phone notifications

I have my phone on vibrate most of the time. Usually at night it is quiet even though I receive e mail throughout the night. This morning it started vibrating with every email I received. Why does it not do that at night? I don't have do not disturb on? Or what can I do to keep it quiet. I'm wondering why it started making noise about 20 mins before wake up time.

Turn it OFF via the power switch, then back on again. Sounds like a glitch that happened on mine just once.

In settings/sounds, do you have vibrate on silent enabled? If so, if the phone is switched to silent, and you receive an email, it should vibrate.
