When entering numbers into the iPhone address book, what is the proper format so it will work wherever you are. Should you just use the ten digit number or always put a 1 in front of it? I'm in the US but just curious about what the right way to do it is. For example, if traveling to another country, how would the number need to be entered to work correctly.

i always add the "1" so it will always call where ever im at

thank you, now is it necessary to put a "+" in front of it or does the phone know to do that? I ask because I want to sync my phone contacts with skype and I think you need the +

No - skype puts the + in there automatically so as long as you have a 1 before the area code you'll be ok.
