Hey all.

If you google search a business you often get the details of the store or whatever on the right hand side of the search results.

The phone number is often a hyperlink which tries to open Google Hangouts when clicking on it.

This might be a Google thing and written into the webpage code but it would SO useful to be able to click those phone numbers in macos safari to automatically dial the number on the iPhone.

Is there a way to make that work?

(Obviously a workaround is to use handoff and open iOS safari on iPhone and click the link there but...)

If it tries Hangouts then it is a Google feature built into their website.

If you highlight the number (even partially) you should get a kind of dotted-line box around the number with a small triangle. Clicking the triangle should let you call the number. It will try to make the call from your Mac but you can pick up your phone and "summon" the call to just the phone.

Hope that helps.
