Hi,

I am trying to get my iMessage to send and receive on all devices and sync properly. Can anyone tell me whether I should enable iMessages from my phone number...

What I am trying to say is, in the iMessage options window for my iPad, the option for 'You can be reached my iMessage at' has my phone number and my iCloud email address listed. Should I have my phone number ticked?

Thanks in advance,

I have been trying to sort this all out for ages,

Jack

Phone number should always be checked, otherwise you will miss messages that are sent to it. The email is used rarely unless the other person is sending from iPad or iPod.

The wifi only iPad can send iMessages to phone numbers too. I've used it before to send myself a picture from my iPad to my iPhone. So I agree that the phone number should be left check marked.

Your right, so pretty much everything uses the phone number then.

Thanks everyone, now the devices are all synchronising at the same time and without major delay!
