I have an AT&T iPhone 4 gig, and I hacked it a few months back. It has been working fine, and yesterday, Safari was working really badly, so I restarted the phone. Now, it takes about 10 minutes to turn on, and when it does, it only allows me to open one program, then I can't do anything once it is open, including returning to the home screen.

I tried plugging it into iTunes to see if I could just do a restore, and neither my computer nor iTunes or registering it as plugged in, even though it is turned on. I'm currently not in the US, so I can't get a hold of the US Apple support, and since it is obviously hacked, I can't take it into an Apple Store.

Is there a way to do a reset without having to use a program (like a reset button or something short of putting a magnet to it).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if getting the new 3G iPhone is the best advice you can give, so be it.

Thanks.
