I JB'd my iphone 4 iOS 5 with redsnow...went to cydia after and then cydia said to reboot, its been stuck on the apple logo for about an hour & I've tried several times to get into DFU mode but it won't let me at this time?

please respond

You know you have to tether boot right?
5.0 only has a tethered JB.

yes, i've tried this. I can't get the phone to shut off to even try this. I've tried while the phone is on the apple logo but it just says on and never goes off.
If I hold the 2 buttons it will shut off but will not go in DFU mode. When I try to go into DFU nothing happens....if I hold both buttons, it returns back to the apple logo and stays on that?

Dfu

Try to go into DFU with USB connected.

You can also use Pwnage tools to get into DFU, it works really well, timing is important.

Once in DFU use redsnow to boot tethered.

just connect you phone, RedSnow Extras, just boot tethered before when you on the screen telling your to turn off phone blabblah, but in DFU at this screen dont hit next to follow along with the instuctions

hold power count to 3, continue to hold power and hold home count to 10, countinue to hold home and you will be good, i was having a hard time with the timing using the onscreen instructions but i never have issues doing it counting the seconds myself

why does nothing ever happen...when I JB'd earlier today I got in DFU mode the first attempt. Now, it either stays on the apple logo or won't turn on at all? One time it went to the "Plug into itunes screen"?

such an important thing like a phone should not be tethered jailbroken, how the hell are you going to turn it on in an emergency?
